Former Judge Renée Yanta has almost 30 years of experience in the law, including 7 years as a District Judge.
Since 2003, Judge Yanta has been certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has handled or been part of the appellate team in all forms of appellate proceedings, from writs of mandamus to appeals, in almost every appellate court in Texas.
She has deep experience providing legal strategy and legal analysis and advocacy-focusing writing at the trial court level, from drafting motions to drafting and arguing jury charges.
Judge Yanta is also legal scholar, writing over 300 legal articles and frequently speaking at legal conferences. She has also had the honor of serving on the Business Volume of the State Bar of Texas Pattern Jury Charge Committee. And it has been of the highlights of her legal career to serve as an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Renée’s stellar appellate records speaks volumes as to her expertise and abilities with briefing and oral arguments.
